A bit about me…
Kicking it off 21 years ago in little ole Gisborne, New Zealand, to 21 years later in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. Once a dream that would have been unrealistic to dreams of traveling all over the world with a camera in hand, creating memories, capturing moments and seeing what the world has to offer, all while doing what I love.
Graduating high school in 2019, and in a couple months off finishing my bachelors degree in architectural studies, my photography journey has been fully self taught over the last 2-3 years that I have cracked down to refine the art and see how far I can get with a camera in hand.
Heading into the final weeks of university, the future where doing what I love full time and the ability to travel the world, the fire inside me has well and truly been lit.
Some proud moments…
After a trip to South Africa in 2018 where I was using mums camera so much that she was unable to use it, it was time to get my first dslr and since then the passion has grown more than I could’ve expected and achieved some satisfying achievements with a fair few more goals ahead to be ticked off.
Being published internationally with Sail World Magazine in 2020/2021 with some Americas Cup imagery, being invited to be a guest lecturer about my journey and how i’ve made my hobby into a full time gig while achieving a degree at the same time. These achievements and others reassure me that i’m heading in the right direction and by doing my best and if I keep doing what i’m doing, there are some epic opportunities out there to be taken
Alongside the achievements above, I have worked with some incredible brands not only local to New Zealand, but globally and hoping to continue the partnerships and form new ones going forward.
Looking to the future…
Being a sports lover for my entire life, either playing or watching almost every sport avaible to try until one injury too many made me rethink the future, and adding a passion for photography. Sports phototgraphy quickly becoming my favourite form of photography combing two of my passions in life.
With the ability to freeze time, capture moments, create long lasting memories and being able to still have a part to play in the sports world, sports photography has become a huge part of my life, with a goal of reaching Paris 2024 and other high-level world-wide competitions. Aswell as local, domestic and grassroots levels being able to continue mastering the craft and always improving frame by frame
